Biography

Saint Privat de Mende, born in 201 in Clermont-Ferrand, is remembered as a prelate closely associated with the Church in Mende, which honors him as its patron. Though few details of his life have been preserved, his witness endures through the devotion of the faithful who continue to call upon his intercession. Living in a time when the early Christian community faced many trials, Privat’s ministry helped shape the life of the Church in his region and left a lasting spiritual imprint.
